Nothing has launched its most affordable smartphone, the Phone 3a Lite, in India. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, it features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display and a unique single Glyph Light. Read on for price, specs, and launch offers.
Nothing has officially expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Nothing Phone 3a Lite. Positioned as the brand's most accessible device yet, it retains the signature transparent aesthetic while introducing a streamlined Glyph interface and robust mid-range specifications. With a starting price of ₹20,999, the Phone 3a Lite aims to disrupt the competitive sub-25K segment.
Price and Availability
The Nothing Phone 3a Lite comes in two storage variants:
-
8GB + 128GB: ₹20,999
-
8GB + 256GB: ₹22,999
As part of the launch offers, customers can avail of a ₹1,000 instant bank discount with ICICI Bank and OneCard credit cards, bringing the effective price down to ₹19,999 for the base model. The device will be available for purchase starting December 5 on Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales, and other select retail partners. It is offered in three color options: Black, White, and a new Blue variant.
Display and Design
The Phone 3a Lite features a large 6.77-inch Full HD+ Flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The screen is protected by Panda Glass.
In terms of design, it maintains Nothing's transparent back philosophy but with a twist. The complex Glyph interface seen on premium models has been replaced by a single Glyph Light located at the bottom-right corner. This simplified light still offers core functionalities like essential notifications, camera countdowns, and custom ringtone alerts. The device has a flat plastic frame and carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, the same processor found in the CMF Phone 2 Pro. This 4nm octa-core processor is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Notably, it supports expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD card slot, a feature often missing in this segment.
The phone runs on Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15 out of the box. Nothing has promised a robust software support plan with three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches. A confirmed update to Nothing OS 4.0 (Android 16) is expected in early 2026.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the Phone 3a Lite sports a triple rear camera setup:
-
50MP Primary Sensor: A 1/1.57" Samsung sensor with f/1.88 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
-
8MP Ultra-Wide Lens: f/2.2 aperture with a 119.5-degree field of view.
-
2MP Macro Sensor: For close-up shots.
On the front, it houses a 16MP selfie camera capable of 1080p video recording.
The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging. It also offers 5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge accessories like earbuds directly from the phone. However, a charger is not included in the box.
